Red Carpet Report: Star Guild Awards 2014

Looks like Bollywood is having full on, back-to-back award ceremonies! That's great because we get to more celebrities rock the red carpet! Last week were held the Star Guild Awards, let's who impressed and who disappointed!

Sonakshi Sinha wore a black jumpsuit from Rachel Roy. She paired the outfit with gold and turquoise earring from Atelier Mon. Her sexy, spiked peep toe heels were from Steve Madden. She wore her hair up in a braided bun. Her makeup was simple with winged liner on the eyes, a peachy blush and nude lips! She looked great! I just felt the jumpsuit was a bit tight.

Deepika Padukone wore an outfit from Shehlaa by Shehla Khan. A baby blue laced crop top and and floral printed black skirt. Didn't really like the skirt! She kept the accessories minimum with just a pair of earrings from Outhouse. The only uniqueness about this appearance was her hair. I loved the whole braided and curled hair do. Overall she looked really pretty. However, was she trying to wear something new? I felt this outfit was a bit informal for an award function.

Shraddha Kapoor attend the Star Guild Awards in a white, embellished, Donna Karan Atelier gown. She paired her gown with a Judith Leiber clutch and earrings from Amrapali. She wore a pair of peep toes with her gown. My only complaint from this look is the hair. The hair being tied up sort of ruins the whole appearance. This look called for side-swept romantic curls.

Jacqueline Fernandez went all desi this time! She wore a traditional lengha sari by Anand Kabra. She kept the look rather simple with a matching gold clutch, gold sandals and no jewellery. Her makeup was nice and simple. Though she could have done something different with her hair, perhaps a curled fishtail braid. Also I am not exactly like the rather long, heavy gold blouse! I wish she would have opted for a shorter blouse. Overall, she looked nice.

Bipasha Basu was looking gorgeous at the award show! I loved her whole outfit, no complains! She wore a lengha sari by Binal Shah. I loved the color combination of black, brown, and beige. The red and gold enhanced the dress even more! More importantly, I loved her her big statement earrings by Amrapali. For makeup, she went for a bold winged liner look, a coral blush and gloss! Her her curled hair looked great as well!

At the first glance, Kareena Kapoor looked ravishing! However, as you notice more closely, you begin to see the flaws! The dress is by Namrata Joshipura. The dress it self is stunning. However I feel its a bit too tight for Kareena's body figure and hence its show her unattractive curves, especially at the arms! Although, I loved her pin straight hair and her red hot, bold lip. The shoes could have been better, but i guess she was trying to get the dress to be the centre of attraction!

Vaani Kapoor was looking rocker-chic at the Star Guild Awards! She wore a black and gold cut out gown by Nikhil Thampi. She wore a chunky statement necklace by Manish Arora for Amrapali. She finished her look with a braided up do, smokey eyes and a nude lip! She's got great taste when it comes to style!

Spotted: Filmfare Nominations Bash 2014

Last night, the Filmfare awards nominations bash was held. Many celebrities were spotted, pleasantly some great appearances. Let's have a look!

Alia Bhatt was looking youthful and rather refreshing at the nominations bash. She was rocking a bright red Alexander McQueen gown. The gown is from quite an old collection, but Alia looked great. She had let her gown become the focus. She had no jewellery, though some would have been nice. Her hair was in a half-up half-down, naturally curled look. She had very little makeup, with a light red lip. She carried a golden candy Jimmy Choo clutch, which looked great with dress.

Vaani Kapoor looked great in a strapless, holographic metallic dress by Vizyon. I really like her hair and makeup. The soft, romantic curls looked simple yet chic. Her light smokey eyes with that gorgeous nude lip made the look a little more sultry. Once again, she wore no jewellery, which is fine as the dress has enough bling. She chose a simple black clutch with the dress. However, the shoes were a complete mismatch. I don't know why but they are sort of ruining the whole outfit. A pair of suede black peep-toes would have been nice.

Deepika Padukone picked a bright colourful printed dress from Pankaj & Nidhi. This appearance of hers was much better than the previous one. Also, this look was styled a lot better. I adored her coral pointy toe heels. They did wonders to the outfit. Although, not a great fan of the gold skull necklace. I would have preferred stacked bracelets or statement earrings. The makeup and hair were kept simple and fresh.

Shraddha Kapoor, I think would have been my favourite! She was looking like a doll. She chose to wear an elegant baby pink dress. The dress has a high-low hem and with one half of the dress in lace details. She chose not to wear any jewellery and kept the look simple by opting for a black beaded clutch. Her gold glitter heels were very cute. Her makeup was delightful, and that pop of barbie pink lip colour was great! I just felt this look called for a sleek pony tail.

Jacqueline Fernandez was looking provocative in a short, black beaded Emilio Pucci dress. Oh my goodness, those six inch tall Christian Louboutin heels made her look sexy! She had her hair down in natural looking curls. She kept her makeup simple, making her burgundy red lips the highlight. For jewellery she wore black and gold earrings and black cocktail ring. A rather pleasant appearance.

Sonam Kapoor wore a deep blue and black column gown from Anushka Khanna's latest collection. Her hair was styled into a braided updo. I like the fact that she is one actress who always changes and experiments with her looks. For accessories, she opted for emerald green diamond earrings and a black Bottega Veneta clutch. Overall she looked great, however those dark lips kind of clashed with her dark gown. Perhaps a lighter lip colour would have looked better?

Red Carpet Report: Life OK Screen Awards 2014

Looks like the Bollywood fraternity have finally started their award ceremonies with the 20th Screen Awards. The show was a star studded event, with great performances and some great appearances at the red carpet. I did wish to see more celebs, however many of them weren't present...perhaps because they didn't weren't nominated. Anyways. Do note, this is not the list of best dressed. Instead I am going to critique every appearance.

Let's begin with my favourite, Deepika Padukone! Overall, as gorgeous as she is, she was looking great. However, there are a few flaws to the look and styling of the dress. Deepika has adorned her self in a long black Alexander Mcqueen gown. The neck has beautiful gold embroidered details with a peek-hole neck. Now, the things that don't flatter the gown are the hair and makeup. The earrings are alright although they blend in too much with the shoulder details. Black and gold studs would have been a better choice. Her hair is in half-up half-down. The extreme puff at the top is distracting. The dark lips don't compliment her dark gown either. I would have preferred to see a gold smokey eye with nude lips and perhaps a braided up-do bun. Anyways she still looked. I am sure she will make lots of better appearances soon.

Amrita Puri was looking very pretty. She was wearing a silver silk top by Alexander Wang. She paired the top very elegantly with a ruffled, Dior skirt. She tied the outfit together with a black and white pattern clutch and a pair of black heels. Her makeup was kept simple with a silver smokey eye. Her hair was let down in natural curls. She looked good. However, I just feel she could have opted for a bit more formal dress as it was a prestigious award show.

Neha Dhupia was stunning at the red carpet. I must say she was one of the best dressed celebrities. She is wearing a white cut-out gown with lace and pearl embroideries. Her dress is by Ranna Gill. Her hair was in side curls which was complimenting the dress very well. Although, I felt her makeup was a bit too overpowering, especially with the dark eye look. She kept the accessories simple, with a large cuff bracelet and a orange-golden sparkling clutch.

Sophie Chaudry was looking fabulous in a Manish Malhotra sari. Although, I felt there was nothing new or unique about the look. Her sari was a classic hot pink and black, with a gold border, which I have seen plenty of before. However, to be honest, she carried the sari well and the whole look was well styled. I love her hair. It was a really pretty curled, side low bun. For accessories she chose gold earrings and a black Bottega Veneta clutch, both matched the outfit well. Her makeup was fresh and simple.

Vaani Kapoor was rocking in that Nandita Mahtani silver sequinned gown. That gown is phenomenal, I love it! More importantly, I love the fact that this dress has been so simply styled. Vaani has a very pretty face and a great height! She pulls this gown effortlessly. As you can see, she has no accessories, except for a pair of small diamond studs. Her hair is pulled back in an undo and her makeup is also very light and minimal. But this all makes her gown the star of the evening. Hope to see more looks like this from Vaani in the future!

Sonakshi Sinha once again didn't fail to impress! She looked marvellous in a nude sheer, silver sequinned detailed gown by Amit GT. It looks like this gorgeous lady has finally gotten herself a stylist. I don't have a lot complaints from this look! Her gown is the definitely the praise worthy and she wears it beautifully. She has kept the jewellery at minimum. She has opted for small stud earrings. She carried a golden glitter clutch to contrast her gown. Her makeup was perfect. I loved the hot pink lips. The only very little flaw is her hair. I think the voluminous curls are a bit overwhelming. It would have been better if the her hair was in a half-up half-down style. Nonetheless, a pleasant look from Sonakshi.

Lastly, we spotted Bipasha Basu in another Manish Malhotra outfit. By the way, if you don't already know, Manish Malhotra is Bollywood's favourite designer! The anarkali is very pretty. I love the navy blue colour with the light beige gold and silver details. I also liked the way it is styled. I think I have to say, Bipasha's hair was the best, hands down! It's really elegant and unique. The chunky necklace is a bit too much, but I don't mind it as she doesn't have any other jewellery. She has paired the dress with silver glitter peep toes. Her makeup is great! The orange/coral lips contrast well with her outfit!

Red Carpet Report: Best Dressed at People's Choice Awards 2014

The PCA's 2014 was an entertaining show. Though we expected to see a lot more celebrities looking stunning on the red carpet, we saw some great ones that were impressing. Let's have a look.

Firstly, my favourite, Nina Dobrev. Not is only a good actress, she has a stunning face and figure, and she has an amazing sense of style. I like how she tried something very different and unique from the usual. Nina was looking great in a black stone embedded Jenny Packham dress. The dress was very stylish as it was short, with full length sleeves and a turtleneck. She paired the dress with silver, metallic Charlotte Olympia sandals. Her clutch was from Raowulf and her jewellery was from Kara Ross Jewels. She had a baby pink and black smokey eye. Her was tied up in a braided up do.
Nina Dobrev
Sandra Bullock looked very simple yet elegant in a Peter Pilotto dress. I liked how the dress was given all the attention. It was indeed a very pretty dress. It had very unique pattern and mixture of colors like green, blues, and white. Her nude shoes were from Kurt Geiger and her metallic clutch was from Jimmy Choo. Her hair was let down with loose beachy curls and makeup was kept natural.
Sandra Bullock
Olga looked sexy in a silver icy Armani dress. The dress was quite revealing with added a sultry effect. I loved the top sequinned part of the dress it was to die for. The Jerome C. Rousseau shoes matched the dress perfectly. However, I do wish the outfit was styled a bit better with more jewellery and a clutch. The hair and makeup was also kept very simple. I guess the aim was ensure that the dress gets all the limelight!
Ogla Fonda

Lucy looked gorgeous wearing a Gabriela Cadena dress. I absolutely loved her dress. It was a beautiful floral and abstract sort of print. It was really cool that the dress was one shoulder. She paired the dress with Jerome C. Rousseau shoes. She styled her dress with a Rebecca Minkoff clutch and earrings by Dana Rebecca Designs and a bracelet by Graziela Gems. Perfect.
Lucy Hale
Jessica looked beautiful as usual. When you have such a pretty face and such an amazing body you can't really go wrong! Jessica is looking stunning in a white Jason Wu dress. It's quite an interesting dress. There's a really cool laced detail up the side of the dress. Also the zip that goes right up front of the dress gives it an edge. She was wearing Casadei shoes, and carried a RODO bag. Her jewellery included Jennifer Meyer earrings and rings, and an Eva Fehren bracelet.
Jessica Alba

Adeladie looked very girly and pretty in a white Rhea Costa dress. That dress is so beautiful and pretty, especially the floral details. She wore the dress with white Brian Atwood sandals. She carried an emerald green Helmer clutch. The pop of colour was nice. It's not always good to be too matching. She wore Sophia jewellery. Her braided hair do was also flirty and fun.

Get The Look: Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone on Koffee With Karan

The two ladies looked stunning on this week's juicy episode of the popular chat show Koffee with Karan.

Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone on Koffee with Karan

Deepika Padukone looked very stylish and sophisticated. Her white laced top and leather embroidered pants were from Alice + Olivia. I believed she paired the outfit with a pair of black Pigalle from Christian Louboutin. She carried a silver crystal embellished clutch (brand not known) and had stacked lots of bracelets. Her hair was tied in a curled pony. She had a silver smokey eye with nude lips.

Priyanka Chopra looked very pretty in an Amit Aggarwal SS 2014 collection. For her appearance she wore the dress without the poncho type jacket. The black floral belt accentuated her waist well. She wore a pair of Mawi earrings and black mesh mary janes from Christian Dior 2014 shoe collection. Her hair was in a high ponytail and she a natural makeup look, with bronze eyes and a pinkish nude lip.

L to R: Priyanka Chopra, Karan Johar, Deepika Padukone
Both the ladies looked fantastic! Whose did you look prefer more? I think it was Deepika Padukone, her look was very unique and different!

Sonakshi Sinha in Diane Von Furstenberg

One of the best dressed celebrities, at the recent launch of Bollywoods' photographer Daboo Ratani's Calendar, was Sonakshi Sinha. Not that she is ever praised for her fashion appearances, this one was rather impressive! Have a look...

Sonakshi Sinha at Daboo Ratani's Calendar Launch

She was looking stunning in a Diane Von Furstenberg dress. The dress has a slight flare at the bottom and a keyhole neck at the top. She paired the dress with metallic gold heels from the English brand Dune. A black square boxed clutch and black and silver statement earrings, there is nothing faulty about this look! The makeup and hair makes the whole appearance even better. Side swept curls and simple makeup with a winged liner and a nude lip looked nice. Although wouldn't have red lips been even better?

Nargis Fakhri manages to look glamours and exotic on the front cover of L'officiel. Love the black background with the pop of the fiery orange dress. The dress is by Gucci's Resort 2014 Collection. L to R: Jennifer Lawrence, Jessica Alba, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Scarlett Johansson

One of the best dressed celebrities this year was definitely Jennifer Lawrence. She looked phenomenal in her baby pink Dior gown at the oscars. It was very elegantly styled, with a silver clutch and silver ball earrings, finished off with a neat bun updo.
Jessica Alba looked ravishing in a coral/peach oscar de la rente gown at the Golden Globes. This has to be one of her best fashion moments. There was not a single fault in her look. She had romantic curls side swept, her orange fur clutch was very cute and her diamond necklace was to die for!
Rihanna looked sexy in a sheer layered gown by Azzedine Alaia at the Grammy Awards. Very elegant curls, she looked great!

Scarlett Johansson was stunning at the Venice Film Festival. She wore a black Versace gown with a Bvlgari diamond necklace. She looked very attractive!

Looks like Selena Gomez has grown up after all. The year of 2013 was all back to back sexy and stylish looks from her. I loved her look at the Teen Choice Awards. Everything was just perfect. Sleek straight her, minimal accessories and her nude pumps. But the star of the look was the gorgeous dark green cut out dress by Cushnie et Ochs!
Mila Kunis looked very pretty in a beige and golden dress by Dolce and Gabbana at the London Premiere of the Wizard of Oz. She kept the look simple with silver bow pumps from Christian Louboutin. She tied her in a neat updo.
